Happy 40th Focus Netball Club!

Happy Birthday to us
Focus is 40 years old this month
Originally it was called Atkins in 1976 and founded by Julie Drury who many of us know
Then in September 1977 The name Focus came about
The club colours back then were brown white and yellow with us wearing white skirts
A few years later the white skirts were changed to the yellow skirts but still with a brown tracksuit (very fashionable!!)
A number of years later we went to the blue with yellow skirts
Janis is our longest standing member of the club with around 39 years playing followed by myself and Sharon with almost 38 years playing
The club originally only had about 7 members and the whole team went to matches in Julie's VW camper van.....the team bus
Focus has come a long way in the 40 years going from 7 players to last nights training with both juniors and seniors to being a club of now around 80 members
We would like to celebrate this 40th season of Focus at some point during this season so watch this space
